Block02 Part12 ~ Painting from Observation Drawing #2
I was really excited to get the critique returned for this lesson. My measurement for the box was just a bit off. The layout was great. The only issue that came up, again, was that my Value for the Extreme Lights. My gradients could have been wider, also, but passable.
I did learn that the light outside of my Still Life Box was affecting the way my Values as well as the gradients were being affected. In further setups, I will be only using the light in the box to take my photographs and drawings.
Something else that I used was a program called Affinity to check my layout to see how close my measurements were. It allowed me to use a grid on the photos to evaluate the accuracy of my measurements. I only did that for a couple more of my drawings, but I think it helped me to gauge the drawings better.
