Block03 Part03 ~ Painting from Photo

I spent some time with YouTube videos researching and learning more about color mixing. I have never been good at it before and still struggle, but I think I did better with this painting than the two before with a couple of exceptions.

Ball: Moderate Shadow; Naples Yellow & Yellow Green

Box: Extreme Shadow; Ultramarine Blue & Naples Yellow     I found the Ultramarine Blue hard to cover the canvas. Without added oil, it was splotchy. With the oil, it seemed to fat and didn't cover that canvas as well.

Mushroom: Moderate Shadow; White, Naples Yellow, Madder Crimson

Table: Shev Yellow, English Red, touch of Shev Blue     Extreme Shadow for the cast shadows from the box and mushroom

The Back: Made with the same colors as the Table but with a little added Burnt Umber. I think I got too much red in the mix.

There was one place that I got some of the 'gray' into the color, but I can't remember where, now.
