Block02 Part07 ~ Proportional Drawing #5
At this point, I am still trying to use the knitting needle, so to help, I used a ruler to measure the knitting needle before drawing on the paper. It didn't help me at all to do this. My measurements were still off for this drawing. My mortar was not wide enough, and the cup is too far to the left. The peanut butter jar is too wide, also.
I was a bit frustrated that my work didn't seem to be getting any better. My critiques always came back with several things that I needed to focus on in upcoming work. Some of the frustration came from the residual effects of the stroke. The instructors doing the critiques were very helpful and kind, but my own inability to "get it" was what was frustrating.
By this time, I was looking for alternative ways to help myself do better drawings including how to measure with more accuracy.
