This was more confusing than the others; it is the first one deciding where to put highlights. The pot on the right was difficult for me in deciding the shadow on the other side. I determined it to be an Extreme Shadow, when in fact it is a Moderate Shadow. I looked at the bottom of the shadow instead of the upper portion. Lesson learned.

In spite of all the mistakes I make when deciding on Value and making gradients, I am loving this course. It is surprising to see how much I have learned and how the practice paintings have helped with not only my painting skills, but also it has helped with stamina. When I first started painting in this course, I was lucky to last 1 hour at the easel. Now, I can paint most of the day with a few small breaks in between. So glad I joined the Evolve Artist Course.
